The South Coast: first impressions of a road tripper

Once again, Australia has managed to produce a coastline which is unique, diverse and breathtakingly beautiful. The onset of winter is clear, with cool, grey days, fierce storms and crisp nights. Here’s a few pictures I’ve been able to snap in between surfing and huddling in my tent.

I feel like I could spend a year exploring here without seeing everything. So far I’ve scratched the surface of the coast between Wollongong and Batemans Bay, but there seems to be ten headlands I haven’t visited for every one I’ve explored.

Much of the NSW coast is green, but after some serious falls of rain in the past couple of weeks, the South Coast is lush – green fields, thriving forests and brimming rivers and lakes.
