The Duo Series: 1

I’m going to try something a little different over the next couple of weeks to get my photos from Ireland and Scotland up to date. I’ll post two images per day, and will try to pick ones I think are worth looking at! For the first in the series, we have two ancient bits of architecture from Ireland: the watchtower over Ballybunion beach, and the view from the second floor of a ruined castle on the Ring of Kerry. If you click on the images, you get to see them in full size, how they’re intended!

Get into the picture for thirty seconds: a gentle breeze ruffles your hair as you stand on the headland, taking in the rich blue sky and impressive fort in front of you... take a deep breath and imagine!

You're on the second floor of a 400 year old castle, looking out over the dramatic Kerry countryside - what would life have been like back then?
