What Arctic? Oh, the little one.

Just For Your Information.

August Arctic Sea Ice Extent is as Low as Records

2007 is the current record low. 95% of years, statistically, fall in the grey area (though stats in a changing system are somewhat irrelevant).

What do you think? Is the record low going to be hit? I think it might be – apparently the ice since 2007 has been thinner (less mass), so it’d be easier for it to melt. However, it’s affected by lots of factors (temperature, obviously, but also wind and ocean currents) so it’s difficult to know.

Oh well, at least Antarctica’s going to be around for a long time.
